Wild Rice Bread Recipe # 462

Yield: 1 (1-1/2-pound) loaf

This recipe has earned the goodfibes™ seal indicating it is a good source of fiber.
1 cup water
1-1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1-1/2 tablespoons molasses
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 cup cooked wild rice OR brown rice
2-1/4 cups bread flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1-1/2 teaspoons Spice Islands® Fennel Seed
1-1/2 teaspoons Fleischmann's® Bread Machine Yeast

Add ingredients to bread machine pan, in the order suggested by manufacturer.

Select basic/white bread cycle; medium/normal color setting. Remove bread from pan; cool wire rack.

Check dough after 5 minutes of mixing: it should form a soft, smooth ball around the blade. If dough is too stiff or dry, add additional liquid, 1 teaspoon at a time, until dough is of the right consistency. If dough is too soft or sticky, add additional bread flour, 1 teaspoon at a time.
