Cottage Wheat Bread Recipe # 41

Yield: 1 (2-pound) loaf

This recipe has earned the goodfibes™ seal indicating it is a good source of fiber. Cream-style cottage cheese makes this whole wheat bread deliciously moist and slightly tangy.
1/ 2 cup water
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup cream-style cottage cheese*
1 tablespoon butter OR margarine
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups bread flour
1-3/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons Fleischmann's® Bread Machine Yeast

Add ingredients to bread machine pan in the order suggested by manufacturer.
Select basic/whole wheat cycle; light/normal color setting.
*Brands of cottage cheese vary in moisture content. If dough is too dry/stiff or too soft/slack, adjust dough consistency.

**Adjusting Dough Consistency: After mixing for a few minutes, the ingredients should turn into a smooth ball around the kneading blade. If the dough appears too stiff, add more liquid in 1 teaspoon increments or if dough is too soft, add more flour in 1 teaspoon increments, until the proper consistency is reached. Do not add more than 3 to 4 teaspoons liquid or flour. The machine cannot compensate for side variations and may not bake the larger amount of dough thoroughly.
